For many, working from home is the new reality. Many of us may have found ourselves busier than ever. Hands up if you feel overwhelmed and on the verge of burnout. With social distancing enforced in most countries, you cannot even meet up with friends for a drink and let off steam! Humans are meant to be social creatures but now our support has been reduced to digital screentime. Our mental health takes a toll as we become physically distanced for our collective health and safety, coupled with a constant stream of emails and messages.

About The Speaker: Marilyn (Founder @Theta Space)

An aspiring "relaxation specialist", Marilyn left the stressors of corporate work behind to teach yoga full time. The effects of burnout from working too hard and too fast made her realise the importance of slowing down for her own health. On top of her requisite yoga teacher and sound therapy certifications, she completed a Basic Mindfulness Training with the Mindfulness Initiative @ Singapore Management University. Marilyn leads her yoga and sound meditation classes with the intention of helping people to find mindful pauses through movement, sound and breath.

She loves sharing about yin and restorative yoga practices, and leads sound meditations using singing bowls and gongs to create a multi-sensory experience for her sessions. Marilyn is the founder of a Singapore-based company called Theta Space, offering sound and yoga sessions for corporate and individual wellness. Instagram: @dharmarilyn
